While we wait for the new shop to open here are a few pictures and memories from the old shop. We hope to be into the new shop early in the week of May 12 (1101 North Main Street, Suite 201, High Point, NC — just in case you had forgotten) Open Knitting will be at Panera on Eastchester (North highway 68 near where Skeet Club becomes Wendover) from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday May 8 and at Panera from 9 to 11 am, Saturday May 10. We hope you can join us.
We were in the old shop for almost 8 years. We were hard to find and I am sure some people are still circling as their GPS takes them all over Welborn. We even had someone get lost in the parking lot. We are very excited about an address that a GPS can locate and a shop you can see from the street. And it is within walking distance of Krispy Kreme. I can only include a small summary of all that we did over the years. Next post will have lots of Katie-Belle and Marsie AKA the Marsinator photos. For those new to us occasionally one of Judy’s two cats visit the shop (but only on knit or crochet night and I will send out a warning for those who do and do not want to see them) They do visit one at a time.
Over the years we had many good times and knit shawls and scarves and sweaters and just about anything else you can knit. Some people crocheted. Our crochet night is almost 6 years old and as far as we know it is the only crochet night in the area.
Some people knitted beautiful afghans and other people wore parts of afghans
We celebrated Knit in Public Day.
We knit Wild Animals and fan and feather shawls (lots and lots of fan and feather shawls and scarves). It is good that we do not have pictures of all the fan and feather shawls we knit since this post would go on and on and on.
And this ends the post of the day. If you liked this post come back tomorrow for more memories and gratuitous cat pictures.
